The Hat (Cycles I, II & III)

The Hat (Cycles I, II & III) is a three-part video work presented as a product ad.

A model sells a red hat that claims to fix everything: exhaustion, debt, anxiety, climate collapse. The pitch repeats three times. Each time, it breaks down a little more and begins to slowly unravel. The smile slips. The reassurance turns shaky. By the end, the ad can’t hold itself together.
